In order to adopt a new family member from Animal Compassion Team (ACT) you need to first fill out our on-line application you can do this by clicking here.  Please be very honest this will help us to assist you in making the best choice for your family and individual situation.  Our goal is certainly not to judge but to help you make the perfect love connection.

     dog going home

All animals that are adopted will be Spayed/Neutered, micro-chipped, vaccinated appropriately,  provided a full spectrum de-wormer and have received a flea/tick preventative. Age appropriate testing for things like heartworm or feline diseases may also be done depending on the circumstances of the individual animal.   Each pet comes with an initial free health exam  from Pet Medical Center located in Fresno.  This exam must be used within the first two weeks after adoption.

Our dog adoptions fees are:                $150.00 for dogs

                                                                $100.00 for senior friends

Our cat adoption fees are:                   $50.00 for cats/kittens

In some cases we may ask you to bring your current furry family members and young children so we can assist in proper introduction.  This is especially important with our powerful large breed friends.

ACT wants to insure your new friend is a good fit for your home.   We want to make sure both you and your new pet will be happy.   Adjustment periods are very important, so keep in mind it can take a few days even weeks to fully adjust to new schedules, smells and establish bonds, (see adjustment periods under taking home a new friend) however if it is truly not a good fit we will always take back our pets. When an animal is taken in to the ACT family it is guaranteed a place with us for life.  No matter what;  There is never a need to place ads on Craig’s List or work to rehome on your own with a stranger.  We will be here to assist you.

Remember that if you don’t find the perfect friend with ACT there are hundreds of wonderful animals waiting for new homes in shelters and other rescue groups.

If you have further questions please feel free to contact us.   We look forward to getting to know you and helping  you find the perfect pet.
